Assetto Corsa Evo 0.7 release

Assetto Corsa Evo 0.7 release

Assetto Corsa Evo continues to grow in its early access phase, with a new revision now available. Version 0.7 most significant feature is the arrival of modding, with an official SDK being available for modders to use similar tools as what the official development team uses.

This build also introduces a new Safety Rating system that takes a never seen yet approach : it is designed to detect close racing and reward drivers who can stay close to other cars without incidents, rather than allowing someone to run away or sit at the back and farm SR by driving alone. Of course, the reliability of this system will have to be monitored, but the idea itself could be a game changer for online racing quality.

On the graphics side, a new particle effects system makes its way through, bringing in better smoke, dirt and water spray, as well as improved crash effects. Texture and lighting rendering have also been optimized.

In terms of content, 4 new cars join the current roster : the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, the track ready Porsche 991 GT2 RS with the Clubsport Evo Kit, the modern Porsche 935 (a derivative of the previous), and a lengendary JDM oldtimer in the form of the Dastun / Nissan 240Z - coming in stock form and a tuned variant.

More minor fixes and adjustments to car models, audio, graphics and physics are also part of this patch. For all details, check out the patch notes here.
