Assetto Corsa EVO 0.8 - what to expect

Kunos continues to work on the early access of the next Assetto Corsa, bringing it closer to full release with the 0.8 version. In a blog post, they describe the new content and improvements to come with the patch.

First off, KTM joins the roster with 2 race cars : the X-Bow GT4 and GT2, both embodying a "light is right" approach to their respective classes. For the road car enjoyers, the Volkswagen Golf 8 R will also be attending the party.

The resistance piece however comes in form of a new track : the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, legendary South African track which hosted Formula 1 in the past. It is quite an interesting circuit, that is frankly underused both in sims and real life, so it's nice to see it get some attention.

Modded assets and custom liveries will now be supported online with this update, after being limited to single player us only in 0.7. A verification system built into the servers will make sure there are no undesirable alterations to the performance of vehicules and prevent cheating in online races.

Other features and improvement include a major rework of VR with new controls, general graphics optimization, and physics updates have been made (mostly in relation to track state and temperature models).

The official patch notes are available on Assetto Corsa's website and the game's Steam page.
