Fanatec announces Nissan partnership

In an unexpected announcement, Fanatec revealed they secured a licensing deal with Nissan, with the aim of producing simracing steering wheels. While no details have been disclosed about the hardware that will come out of this collaboration, Fanatec's press release states it will have a "strong focus on craftsmanship, ergonomic precision, and visual authenticity", and that more information will be released later this year.

It sounds like we should be expecting a premium replica rim at least, although Nissan's limited current implication in racing raises questions, as the only currently active Nissan race cars are a Formula E (which is standardized), a Super GT, and the GT3 which can only run in Asia anymore. Among all these, the GT500 sounds like the more plausible option, but we could still get a concept car wheel such as the Vision GT - which would line up with Gran Turismo partnerships with both brands and add more Playstation ready rims to Fanatec's lineup - or even get surprized with a new race car reveal from Nissan.
