Polyphony Digital released a new content update for GT7. In line with the regular monthly updates, the main point of interest is the addition of the following 3 new cars.
The first addition is a 911 Turbo from the 964 generation. Mind you, this is not just any 964 Turbo, nor is it even a "normal" Turbo S, but the Leichtbau version. What's so special about it ? It is lightened, with a similar recipe to the Carrera RS from the same generation, which lends some of its secrets and parts to that effect. In short, the 964 Leitchbau is what would be called a GT2 RS in current days.

Next, we have the Yangwang U9, the new electric supercar manufactured by the Chinese giant BYD, which features in a simracing game for the first time ever on this occasion. This is "only" the regular 1300hp version, and not the Xtreme that achieved a speed record of 496 kph. Still, there is enough power to make this quite a challenge, especially when time comes to stop the 2 and a half tons.

Finally, the last car featured in this update is the 1993 Renault Twingo. This very first iteration of the iconic bubbly car features a modest Cleon iron engine with 55hp, but the tuning options available will allow you to turn it into a fun little cup car. You can elect to simply replicate the Twin'Cup specs, go a level above and match the Rauh Racing Twingo that was recently denied an entry into the Nürburgring 24h, or even throw any sense of measure out of the window and swap it with a turbo K24 engine and get close to a 1/1 power to weight ratio with wide fenders and tyres.

Another interesting feature of this update is the newly added possibility to use cars from your own garage in Power Pack races. This may become a somewhat effective method of farming as Power Pack Challenges have been added as well, rewarding you according to the number of races you complete within a fixed period of time.
The rest of the update is minor additions like new single player events and small fixes. The full patch notes are available here.
