PXN releases new premium Vector-X pedals

The chinese simracing brand PXN that recently shook the market by releasing a feature-rich GT rim at a very competitive price at entry-level is now trying to enter a different market range with an advanced pedal set, named Vector-X.

The first noticeable thing is that all pedals come with their own loadcell. The brake gets a hefty 200kg capable loadcell, with interchangeable springs, but the throttle and optional clutch gets a loadcell too.

On the throttle side, you get an interesting combination of a 15kg loadcell and a Hall angle sensor, in an effort to increase precision during ciritcal moments when there's a lot of sudden foot movements. The software will allow users to bypass one of the throttle sensors, should they prefer to do so. On the clutch side, the 30kg loadcell is part of a 2 stage mechanism, supposed to recreate the sensation of a biting point you'd feel in a real car. The set comes with a proprietary control box, with dedicated vibration module ports, so we can assume pedal rumbler add-ons will come at a later date.

The construction of the Vector-X pedals extensively feature metal and forged carbon fiber, and appear to provide an important range of adjustments, and overall give an impression of high quality - which is not surprising considering the design is reminiscent of the competion, specifically the VRS Pro pedals.

On the value side, current early bird prices, available until June 11th, are 459€ and 579€ respectively for the 2 and 3 pedals sets, but regular MSRP will climb to 519€ and 629€ afterwards. It seems PXN is trying to leverage features more than affordability this time, as what seems to be the direct competitors like the Asetek Forte and Simagic P1000 remain noticeably cheaper.
