Simracing Summer Sales overlook

Simracing Summer Sales overlook

The beginning of summer usually marks a new sales period, and simracing hardware manufacturers are in with some interesting deals. For those who are looking to start their simracing career, get their first direct drive, or just upgrade and accessorize their existing setups, here is a summary of what we spotted.

Fanatec, as usual, offers  deals on the greater part of its catalog. In our eyes, the most interesting discounts are on bundles. The CSL DD QR2 Ready2Race Bundle (5 Nm) brings the entry point for a functional PC wheel and pedals combo down to 329.95€. If you need Playstation compatibility, the entry ticket jumps to 569.95€ for the Gran Turismo version of the 5 Nm bundle. In both cases, these bundles are currently going to be the best value on offer for anyone looking to jump into the hobby, or wanting to upgrade from a gear / belt driven wheel, while being very versatile with the round rims they come with. They are also available at discounted prices in 8 Nm versions, and with different rims as well, so you can also look at those if you have some extra budget.

At the higher end of the spectrum, the ClubSport DD Ready2Race Rally Bundle (15 Nm) caught our attention, offering a substantial 450€ discount and comes with a shifter, a handbrake, and a 3 pedals set with a loadcell brake.

Moza is also offering discounts for this summer sale, bringing the entry point for PC simracers at 279€ with the R3 bundle, which can be a decent option if your budget's hard limit is at 300€ or below. The R5 bundle at 399€, and more premium bundles however loses on value against Fanatec's comparable offers at the moment. Moza's sales will make more sense to people who are already in the Moza ecosystem and are looking to upgrade their wheelbases, with the R9 and the R12 benefitting respectively from an 80€ and a 100€ discount

The mBooster active pedal is also 100€ cheaper than usual, both as a standalone unit for 799€ or as a set with a CRP2 throttle for 999€, so it's a good opportunity for those who want to experience that technology and are on the fence.

For entry level bundles, PXN also offers a VD4 and a VD6 bundle with a 3 pedals set and a round wheel for respectively 362.99€ and 412.99€, offering an alternative to those who need a clutch pedal and are willing to purchase an unbranded shifter from Amazon or chinese vendors.

Asetek is also discounting its Initium 5.5 Nm wheelbase, in combination with one of two button boxes for a total price around 450€, though the total will rise up to 525 to 550€ once you spec handles to go with it - and that still leaves you without pedals. While not as accessible as the previously mentionned offerings, some people might prefer to invest into a more premium brand, and from that point of view, the discount on offer is appreciable.

For those aiming at a premium brand with high levels of torque, VRS seem to be the only brand in that range taking part in summer sales, offering discounts on its 15 and 20 Nm bases through bundles including a GT style R295 rim and a quick release, at 998€ and 1267€.

If you're looking for a chassis, multiple brands are currently offering discounts, such as Fanatec and Sim-Lab, both reducing their asking price of 100€ on their high end options and ending up close to 800€. But the biggest discounts are found on the Nitro Concepts E-Racer chassis, with 140€ and 190€ reductions on the regular and LED versions, which means you can get a profile rig for 600€, seat included. The discount goes to over 400€ if you go for the bundle with the Sensit haptic cushions.

If you need gloves, Syncmesh got you covered with up to 20% sales on their higher end GRIP M line, specifically designed for simracing performance and comfort.

Finally, if you're looking to make a purchase, don't forget to check out our affiliate links in the hardware section at the top of the website to get additional discounts for some vendors, so don't miss out !
